This amazing property is adjacent to a preserved forest, with a stream of pure water running along the
entire property. It is located in the central region, in Atenas,
considered by National Geographic as the best climate in the world,
10 minutes by car from the center, 35 minutes from the airport, 50
minutes from the capital San José and 50 minutes from the beaches
of the Pacific coast. The flat area consists at one end of the ground of the main house in
earth and bamboo, on two floors: On the ground floor of this one: 2 large terraces, a living-dining room-kitchen a bathroom
and a laundry room, with a solar system for the
water which is on the roof, a bedroom with mezzanine.
On the first floor: a bedroom and an office which
could be another bedroom with access to the balcony.
In the middle: a long workshop, iron and wood structure on one side
and on the other, a parking lot.
At the other end there is an organic vegetable garden with a covered
structure of about 100 square meters and at the bottom of the garden
There is another iron-wood and stone habitable structure composed of a
closed raised bedroom, a living room-kitchen and a bathroom, open
to nature.
Below the main house, there is a guest house with a large balcony-terrace.
Small landscaped paths allow you to discover the large garden with
its Inca-style terraced crops and the abundance of diversity.
This property is an agro-ecological place on the model of
permaculture adapted to the tropics, with its organic vegetable
garden, its medicinal plants, its edible forest with its fruit trees (coffee,
cocoa, jack fruit, guanavana, coconut trees, mango trees, banana
trees, plantains ) roots (ginger, turmeric, galangal...) and wild plants.
and also pollinators such as melipones, tropical stingless bees, many
birds, among others hummingbirds, toucans, motmots, butterflies
and we also have regular visits from white-headed monkeys.
An irrigation system throughout the property has been installed with a
36,000 cubic meter water tank and a mechanical ram pump. The
irrigation system is therefore independent of electricity. The water for
the taps and the shower comes from one of the wells in the 60-
hectare residence, there are two of them, an important element
because tap water in Costa Rica is quite chlorinated\'.
The property has high-speed wireless Internet, allowing you to be
connected to the rest of the world, with 4 routers for each space.
