If you want to live in a rustic cabin in the Costa Rica mountains and yet still be only an hour from the beach, this is perhaps the property for you.
The views of the surrounding mountains and valley from this mountain cabin in the tiny village of Quebradas Arriba are simply breathtaking. The view of the "Sleeping Indian" can plainly be seen from a few of the listing photos...simply amazing!
The cabin is rustic, yet entirely comfortable. It has about 160 M2 of total living space. The cabin is constructed with cedar and other woods. It has two guest bedrooms downstairs, along with a bathroom. There\'s a spacious living room area and kitchen with large window and great view of the mountains. On the second floor is the master-suite loft with bathroom and balcony overlooking the expansive valley view.
There is ample area for parking. And the grounds are plenty large enough to do some extensive cultivating, or perhaps even locate a small guest cabin.
The home is located in the barrio of Quebradas Arriba, which is just above the small pueblo of Quebradas, one of the most popular for expats due to its quaint and peaceful nature, beautiful river, and convenient proximity to the city. Quebradas sits at an altitude of around 900 meters, which puts it in that “Goldilocks Zone” of being not too hot and not too cold - it’s just right.
The property is only 20 minutes from downtown San Isidro and about 1 hour from the beach at Playa Dominical.
San Isidro de El General is the second largest city outside of the GAM of the central valley (the area that includes San Jose, Alajuela, Heredia and Cartago). Here you can find anything you need, including great public and private medical care and even a mall with cinema!.
San Isidro has the largest farmer’s market in the region. Expats at the beach find it necessary to make frequent trips to San Isidro for provisions or services they cannot find at the beach. In short, living within minutes of San Isidro, in a charming mountain community like Quebradas, is simply more convenient.
