The west coast of Costa Rica is somewhat of a tourist’s mecca. The warm waves of the Pacific Ocean lap dozens of beaches up and down the coast – some secluded, some easily accessible. Playa Panama, only about 3 miles away from the more well-known Playa Panama, on the northwest coast on the Golfo de Papagayo, is a rapidly developing luxury resort town that caters to the affluent tourist, or to retirees from around the world (but mostly North America) who enjoy the atmosphere here. Not to mention the water sports. Indeed, land for sale in Playa Panama Costa Rica can be purchased by anyone, Costa Rican or foreigner alike. Foreigners come here and purchase land for homes, or on which to build hotels or resorts.
Relaxing on the beach sipping refreshing drinks is enough for many folks who visit this beautiful region. Others prefer to rent sailboats or kayaks, or go swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. Sport fishing in particular draws visitors from practically every country. There are hotels, resorts, and of course for year-round residents, homes and apartment buildings. Playa Panama land is not given over to museums or old colonial buildings, it must be said. This is a luxury resort town and the infrastructure is well-developed to cater to the tourist. There are restaurants and night clubs of course (although for night clubs, Play Hermosa, some 2 km away, is more popular). The roads are well-paved, and there is easy access to Playa Panama from the Liberian airport, only 27 km away.
