Playa Panama Costa Rica Map

Anyone who wishes to purchase property in Costa Rica really needs to look at a wide variety of maps to get a real feel for potential properties, before actually journeying out to the locations to see the property in person. The Costa Rican government has invested time and money in improving its infrastructure in major tourist areas such as its northwest coast. Here, fabulous beaches are clustered together within a few miles of each other, each one with its own attractions as far as water breaks (for surfing) are concerned, and so on. By looking at a map of Playa Panama Costa Rica it is easy to see where all existing buildings are – those of the hospitality industry such as hotels, resorts and villas, as well stores, night clubs, and other essential buildings serving the area such as hospitals. (Most resorts have a health care professional of some kind on hand, and the nearest hospital is in Liberia, about a 25 minute drive away).

Liberia, a city very close to Nicaragua (and not to be confused with the country of Liberia in Africa, by the way!) is the “gateway” to the northwest coast of Costa Rica, with its newly expanded international airport. It is a lot easier to fly into Costa Rica here, then fly into San José and make the very long drive. (Costa Rica is a relatively small country, no larger than West Virginia, but it’s mountainous and the mountaintops are usually wreathed in fog.) Take a look at a Playa Panama map to see just how far away it is from Liberia. Of course, maps are limited and can’t really give you a good feel of distance, but you’ll have a good basic working knowledge on which to build.
