Brian Bombard

Brian grew up on the small island of Catalina just off the coast of Los Angeles, California. After an idyllic island childhood spending his formative years on and around the ocean, Brian spent several years of service in the U.S. Coast Guard and a few years driving commercial tug boats up and down the coast between San Francisco and San Diego. During this time, he was flying back and forth to visit with his parents and younger brother who had relocated to Costa Rica and specifically the community of Nosara. Not surprisingly, it became more difficult to get back on the plane and head north for work so, unsurprisingly to anyone who has fallen in love with Nosara, Brian made what he claims to be “one of the best decisions of my life” and settled into the beach community here in Playa Guiones. This decision was clearly the right move as Brian then met his wife while walking the beach and they now have the privilege of raising their two wonderful boys here on the beach.

Brian has been a licensed local real estate agent for 14 years in addition to having managed many homes in the Nosara area. Brian’s mother and father built a boutique hotel here in Nosara and opened the doors in 1998 at which Brian assisted in the daily operations. This boots on the ground approach gave Brian the foundation of how a business operates in Costa Rica and how to successfully meet the individual needs of every client.

As Brian has said many times, “I have had the pleasure of working with the community in many different ways from assisting in our local wildlife refuge program and reforestation projects to emergency community planning. I love every aspect of this community and am privileged to call this area my home.”

Moving to a new country can never be easy but after meeting Dylan, I found my perfect home. I have a long relationship with Coldwell Banker and so when I decided I wanted to purchase a home in Costa Rica I contacted my local Coldwell Banker agent and she introduced me to Dylan. Dylan is a great agent, he took the time to educate me about the area I was interested in and provided me with the information I needed to purchase my new home. Even after purchase he provided me with assistance on making my hew house my new home. I highly recommend Dylan as an agent here in Costa Rica. He is knowledgeable about all the issues of purchasing a home in Costa Rica and is able to share his knowledge with you so that you can make an informed decision. He is personable, attentive and highly respected by other agents in the area. I highly recommend Dylan and I know you will be well pleased with using him as your agent here in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

Scott Bowers helped us to purchase our house in Costa Rica. Scott was very responsive and specific, always answering the phone, or returning phone calls right away. He is a very nice person to work with and he was very professional and amiable when showing us the properties while we were in the country. He helped us to negotiate the deal on the property we have selected and also introduced us to a local RE attorney and assisted us in preparing documents needed to finalize the transaction while we were back in the USA. He provided help with things substantially above and beyond his responsibilities as a RE agent, such as setting up a bank account in CR. His book, “The Definitive Guide to Costa Rica Expat Living”, is a must read for anybody thinking about RE in Costa Rica. I strongly recommend him.

Daveed Hollander served as my real estate broker and helped me successfully sell three luxury properties over the past several years. His knowledge of the marketplace and experience in the area, professionalism, and responsiveness back by a great team were all outstanding. If you are looking to sell or buy, I would strongly recommend Daveed and his Coldwell Banker team.

I had the pleasure of working with Dylan to find my perfect property in Costa Rica. Dylan is very detail-oriented and found exactly what I wanted. He has many great contacts from attorneys, craftsmen to the best places to eat! What a great family! Friends for life! P.S. Thanks for the surfing lessons.

In all the excitement of moving to Costa Rica and setting up our new home, I have been remiss in sending you a big “Thank You!”.   I have some sense of how busy Scott Bowers is but we always felt we had your full attention whenever we needed it and Scott Bowers never rushed us. Making such a large decision from Canada had the potential to go sideways in countless ways. Scott Bowers always kept us on track and found answers to our many questions. Scott Bowers helped us bridge the language issues, especially the definition of “furnished”! Cheers and pura vida
