According to International Living, Costa Rica Real Estate is one of the world’s best property markets for 2012. In the article, published on the 27th March, titled, "The World’s Best Real Estate Markets in 2012," Ronan McMahon placed 3 Costa Rican regions in the top 27 investment locations in the world. When establishing his criteria McMahon explains, "The top have places in this Global Real Estate Index are all fast-emerging beach locales. And something is happening that I believe will push prices higher. The Southern Zone of Costa Rica came in 3rd place preceded only by Ecuador’s North Coast and Tulum in Mexico. Arenal, La Fortuna was awarded 8th position and Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast 20th position.
