It all began with a simple drive. Drawn by stories of sand dollars the size of your hand, my friend had told me about, I found myself exploring Playa San Miguel, located between Santa Teresa and Samara.
The beach was more than beautiful; it was magnetic. Serene, expansive, and undeveloped, I experienced a glimpse of Costa Rica's coastal past, still preserved.
Around the same time, my colleague Gustavo took on a listing in Corozalito, a quiet town just south of Samara. Although slightly outside our usual coverage area, that single listing, Casa Corozalito, sparked a chain reaction. With each new listing and every visit, Gustavo built deeper relationships in the region with its warm and welcoming people, beginning to envision something more permanent.
Building the Coldwell Banker Playa Coyote Team
Over coffee one day, Gustavo casually shared his dream: to open an office in Playa Coyote. With increasing interest from clients seeking an authentic, less-developed alternative to busier markets like Samara and Santa Teresa, the idea quickly gained traction.
Soon after, Liz joined the project on the ground, followed by a series of serendipitous connections that led to the formation of a talented local team. Victor Chaves, a Coyote native introduced to us by another Coldwell Banker franchisee, became our first agent. Not long after, Catharin, Sandra Garcia, and Elena Bombardieri brought their energy, local insight, and real estate expertise to the mix.
