This property is a true Costa Rica tropical experience located in Lagunas and nestled in the rain forest with a profusion of wildlife viewed daily. Plus numerous fruit trees already planted. The current owners are both conservationists who have lived and traveled all over the world; yet chose this location for its natural beauty, abundant biodiversity, climate, and proximity to amenities while offering complete seclusion and privacy.

The Main House
As you approach the main house along a gated driveway, you pass through lush green forest. After entering the front door under vaulted ceilings built with a variety of tropical woods like teak, oak, corteza, and cristobal, you are then faced with an open floor plan living room, dining room, and kitchen, and you’ve arrived…! The kitchen area has plenty of counter space and an island for preparing a variety of exotic meals with fresh local produce. At the rear of the kitchen, there is ample storage space with a pantry closet and a large laundry room with lots of shelving.

Beyond the living room is a beautiful study with an old-fashioned wood burning stove that is used to warm the room on cool rainy season evenings when desired. This room could also be converted into a third bedroom, or a space for a pull-out sofa bed. The hallway from the study leads to the on suite full bathroom and principal bedroom, separated by a walk-in dry room and closet.

The highlight of the home is the covered terraced area with Zen-inspired open courtyard garden with a choi pond at the center. A second bedroom is accessed from this wrap around veranda and has its own full bathroom. Off the guest bedroom is a deck and sitting area detached from the house with an over the fruit orchard viewing point towards the surrounding jungle and hills.

The Casita
The independent guest house has its own separate entrance and drive way above the main house. This is an appealing place for Airbnb rentals, or long-term tenants. It also serves as a family guest house. This studio open plan layout has the bedroom connected to the kitchenette linked to a full bathroom. Added, is a spacious wrap around porch for outside relaxation. As a bonus, there exists a large storage area at the rear.

The Property
Above this cabin is a small flat building pad that has more fruit trees and potential location for another guest home, swimming pool, or rental casita. A variety of organic fruit trees, including bananas, plantains, coffee, cacao, mangos, papayas, carambolas, citrus, etc., have been carefully planted throughout the property to blend with the natural rain forest. Additionally, there is a creek (more pronounced in the rainy season) bisecting the property, with walking trails accessing remote corners of the 9.17 acres of the forest.

The front of “Finca Aracari”, is by a public road, providing access to legal Lagunas ASADA water. Recently installed, is a 25 mb [or more, if requested] fiber optic hardline connection for professional internet services to both the main house and the casita, allowing you to move to Costa Rica and cyber-commute from the jungle! …Leer Menos
