Caribbean Costa Rica Hotels for Sale

Costa Rica is bordered on its southwest coast by the Pacific Ocean, and on its northwest coast by the Caribbean Sea. Both coasts attract water and nature lovers, but the coasts and the culture of these regions are not the same. Indeed, the northwest coast – comprised entirely of the province of Limón, has been advertised as “the other Costa Rica” because of its stark differences. OF course both coasts have one thing in common – the friendliness of the people. But people or companies looking to purchase hotels for sale in Caribbean Costa Rica need to be aware of the differences. The “other” Costa Rica gets plenty of tourists per year, of course, and quite a few people looking for a laid back country in which to emigrate, but this part of the country is not as developed as are other regions - which is a good thing. For example, the only way to get to Tortuguero National Park is by plane, or by boat.

Hotels for Sale in Caribbean Costa Rica

The Caribbean coast of Costa Rica runs for 125 miles, from the northern border of Nicaragua all the way down to the southern border with Panama. The port city of Limón is the capital of the province of the same name. The province does extend far south into the country, but most of the tourists and expatriates, and hence those looking for a resort for sale in the Caribbean search for listings in the port cities and in the towns that have increased in size rapidly thanks to the improved tourist opportunities in the area. Tortuguero National Park is a prime example. It was founded in 1975 to protect the nesting beaches of four species of sea turtles, and while eco-tourists and turtle watchers love to visit this region, it has not harmed their habitat.
