Lots for Sale in Cartago Costa Rica

Although Cartago is practically the oldest city in Costa Rica, it does not have many colonial buildings left. As with many modern cities, the old had to make way for the new – especially when earthquakes and fires damaged the old buildings. However, a representative number of Colonial buildings have been restored. Cartago fared better with its churches, especially its centerpiece, the Basilica de Nuestra Señora de los Angeles, located near the city’s central square and with a striking interior as well as exterior. Cartago lots can be found near this as well as other churches in the city, such as La Iglesia de Maria Auxiliadora (a title of the Virgin Mary), which is the centerpiece in a large garden open to the public.
