Anyone who wants to visit Tambor, which is located on the southern end of the Nicoya Peninsula, should really plan to spend at least three days there to take in everything. Of course when you come to Tambor your idea is to take it easy and relax – but there’s a lot of things to do to relax! You can go surfing, or scuba diving, or snorkeling. You can take boats out into the bay to watch for humpback whales (during the appropriate season). Rentals in Tambor Costa Rica therefore are the way to go – rent a home or a villa so you’ll have plenty of room to relax and rest before going out for another full day of activity the next day. In addition to the beaches around Tambor, there’s golfing at the resorts, horseback riding, and hiking.
There are also a few nature preserves within easy distance of Tambor. Indeed, Costa Rica is known for its nature preserves – the country is doing its best to preserver the native wildlife and bird species for a long time to come. Of course it also wants to preserve its beaches, and Tambor Beach is considered to be very beautiful, with white sand separating the tree line from the clear blue water. Tambor rentals may have views of the bay (Bahia Ballena, or Whale Bay) or views of the lush green trees that surround the bay. Tambor (the name means “drum”) has several resorts in the area, but folks who aren’t staying there can visit a casino, and their restaurants.
