Arenal Costa Rica Hotels for Sale

People who arrive in Costa Rica typically do so by flying into San José, a city of some 200,000. The city is big, noisy, and full of traffic. From there, though, it’s easy to get to practically every other tourist attraction in the country, either by driving or flying. The Arenal Volcano National Park is 55 miles northwest of San José. The National Park surrounds Arenal, a once-dormant volcano that erupted in 1986 and had been active practically every day, which caused a great boon in volcano-watching tourists. However, Arenal hasn’t erupted since 2010. That’s not a problem, because there’s still so much to do in this area. Because of this, hotels for sale in Arenal Costa Rica are quite a worthwhile investment. Tourists to this area come not only to view the volcano (it still belches smoke occasionally), but also to visit the part and the nearby lake, which offer great viewing of Costa Rica’s wildlife and birds. Hiking, horseback riding and windsurfing are also popular activities here which draw enthusiasts from around the world.

Hotels for Sale in Arenal Costa Rica

There are many reasons why travelers visit Arenal Volcano National Park. Although Arenal used to be main attraction, thanks to its once-daily eruptions, that is no longer the case but that’s all right – it’s still a beautiful sight. During the rainy season of November through May, the summit of the volcano can be wreathed in fog at times, but this season is also the prime time for windsurfing on Lake Arenal. Cities surrounding Arenal are La Fortuna, Ciudad Quesada (otherwise known as San Carlos), and San Ramon among others. A resort for sale in Arenal can be found in any of these cities, or even much closer to the volcano. Other popular tourist attractions in the area are the Hanging Bridges which is a series of trails and bridges through a 250-acre private preserve in a nearby rain forest, viewing the Fortuna Waterfall, or taking canopy tours (ziplines) through Ecoglide Arenal Park.
