Caribbean Costa Rica Luxury Real Estate

Most tourists who come to Costa Rica are interested in its coastlines – its western coastline with the Pacific Ocean which provides plenty of diving, sport fishing and surfing, and the eastern coastine with the Caribbean Sea which is famous for its turtle watching to the north, and its surfing and turtle watching to the south. Luxury real estate in Cartago Costa Rica is coveted by individuals who wish to live in the heart of the country, but who want to be able to drive or fly to the coasts whenever they wish. Of course in additional to the forests and the wildlife in the interior of the country are Costa Rica’s many active volcanoes which attract volcano enthusiasts from all over the world.

Luxury Real Estate in Caribbean Costa Rica

Cahuita is a charming seaside city located several miles down the coast from the much larger Puerto Limón (capital of the province). Caribbean luxury is easy to find in this friendly and prosperous city, home of Cahuita National Park and quite close to Manzanillo and the Gandoca-Manzanillo Refuge. Expatriates have much to choose from in this city – albeit long known as a “hippie hangout” or the nearby and surging city of Puerto Viejo de Telamanca. Just off Cahuita are reefs that are perfect for snorkeling, although it’s typically best to engage a guide because most of this coast of Costa Rica has a dangerous undertow. Cahuita has a friendly Afro-Caribbean population.
